Claims

We all know that the true value of any policy is only realized when its time to make a claim. It’s then, more than ever, that you need to trust your broker to service your needs above all others.

Claim Procedures

There are a number of things you must do immediately:

• Step 1 - Do whatever is necessary to prevent further loss or damage.


• Step 2 - Report the incident to our office within 24 hours (if possible). We will advise you the steps to be taken.


• Step3 - Whatever the circumstances, DO NOT ADMIT LIABILITY EVEN IS YOU THINK YOU ARE AT FAULT.

All losses or incidents which may result in a claim are to be reported as soon as practicable after the event to IPS or the insurer.

When lodging your claim, please provide as much detail as possible. The more complete your claim is, the faster we can process everything.

The first notification should be by telephone or fax, or as circumstances dictate and should include the following information:

• Description of incident
• Date and Time
• Location where circumstances originated
• Estimate of loss
• Action being taken to minimise loss
